Readiness

Readiness Skills

Provides students in grades PK through one with the basic readiness skills required for them to excel as early learners.

Phonics and Phonemic Awareness

Super Phonics

This is a complete interactive reading skills program that provides systematic and explicit phonics instruction to students at a K-2 grade level. Students progress from learning the alphabet to reading complete sentences.

Super Phonics Level 2

This is a comprehensive reading program that introduces and extends new phonics skills to students at a grade 2 to 3 level.

Phonemic Awareness

Phonemic Awareness teaches students at a K-2 grade level 38 different phoneme sounds, how to isolate these sounds in words, phoneme addition, deletion and substitution.

Sight Word Recognition

Sight Words

Teaches the 220 Dolch Sight Words and more than 100 other high frequency words to students a K to 2 grade level. The word lists in this program constitute over 50% of most reading material.

Sight Words Level 2

Teaches the next 400 words that have the highest frequency in the English language to students at a grade 2 to 4 grade level. Word lists have been researched and selected from a number of reputable sources including the Fry 1000 Instant Word List and the Bedrock Sight Vocabulary List.

Vocabulary Builder Grade 3

In this program students will work with hundreds of new words and more than 200 activities to develop critical vocabulary, reading, spelling and language skills.

Vocabulary Builder Grade 4

In this program students will work with hundreds of new words and more than 200 activities to develop critical vocabulary, reading, spelling and language skills.

Vocabulary Builder Grade 5

Provides the strategies, skills, and individual word instruction required to develop strong language proficiency. Students are taught more than 500 new vocabulary words through a wide variety of engaging activities.

Vocabulary Builder Grade 6

This program teaches over 500 grade appropriate vocabulary words using hundreds of activities, including 60 activities to teach 35 sets of homophones.

Reading Comprehension

Reading Comprehension Level 1

A wide variety of fiction and non-fiction stories supported by colorful illustrations and verbal cues develop reading comprehension and vocabulary skills at a grade 1 to 2 reading level. Students are able to click on challenging story and question words to hear them.

Reading Comprehension Level 2

Identifying the main idea, predicting outcomes and using context clues are among the reading comprehension skills this program teaches to students at a grade 2 to 3 reading level. Reading Comprehension Level 2 contains 70 interesting fiction and non-fiction stories using grade-appropriate vocabulary.

Reading Comprehension Level 3

Develops reading comprehension ability and vocabulary skills including: word meanings, synonyms, antonyms, homonyms and root words in students reading at a grade 3 to 4 level. Many of the stories in Reading Comprehension Level 3 focus on interesting and unusual facts from the world of nature.

Reading Comprehension Level 4

Designed to address all aspects of the reading comprehension, vocabulary and language strands for students at a grade 4-5 reading level.

Reading Comprehension Level 5

This comprehensive program covers the majority of the language arts curriculum objectives for students at a grade 5-6 reading level.

Reading Comprehension Level 6

Provides students at a grade 6-7 reading level with the comprehension, vocabulary and language skills essential to their success.

Leveled Reader Primer

These fully illustrated and patterned stories are designed to allow emergent readers to learn independently at their own level and pace. Each story provides opportunities for students to learn, practice, and apply phonetic rules and to develop word recognition and comprehension skills. More importantly these stories invite children to read for interest and pleasure.

Leveled Reader Grade 1

These fully illustrated and patterned stories are designed to allow emergent readers to learn independently at their own level and pace. African-American Superstars

This program includes interesting biographies of important historical and contemporary cultural figures to build skills in reading comprehension, vocabulary and language. It is appropriate for students reading at the grades 4-6 levels and for remedial readers in grades 7-10. Some of the individuals covered in this program include: Will Smith, Muhammad Ali, Alicia Keys, Martin Luther King Jr., and Condoleezza Rice.

Hispanic-American Superstars

This program includes interesting biographies of important historical and contemporary cultural figures to build skills in reading comprehension, vocabulary and language. It is appropriate for students reading at the grades 4-6 levels and for remedial readers in grades 7-10. Among the people included in this program are: Carlos Santana, Cesar Chavez, Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez, and Ellen Eochoa.

Graded Word Recognition Test

This test provides an accurate and reliable measurement of reading and word recognition ability up to the end of grade 8.

Graded Reading Comprehension Test

This test provides an accurate reflection of a student's reading comprehension level up to the end of grade four.

This interactivity increases student involvement, interest and desire to read. 'In the Amazing Forest' appeals to students in grades 2, 3 and 4 as well as older students who are experiencing reading difficulties.

The Search for the Lost Oasis

This is a single, multi-chapter story. Students play the role of the main character, making decisions that will shape the direction of the plot.
